赫尔曼·施密茨·波恩1903年生于德国杜伊斯堡，1960年卒于瑞士提契诺州阿格拉。曾就学于杜塞尔多夫学院，师从Max Clarenbachstift。1939-1957年担任杜塞尔多夫“Malkasten”艺术家协会会员，活跃于杜塞尔多夫、埃菲尔等地。
